Become A Volunteer

The Yukon Orienteering Association is a volunteer run organization. We depend on individuals like you to run our programs. There are a variety of interesting and rewarding opportunities. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Many of the tasks we need done do not even require any technical knowledge: event registrar, newsletter editor, treasurer, email list coordinator, communications director.

Other jobs require only a limited amount of experience: board member, control collector, junior coaching assistant, Learn to O instructor, Schools’ Day leader, event timer.

There are, of course, also jobs requiring some more technical knowledge: course planner, coach, control hanger, meet director.

Please phone Craig at 689-1064 or email [email protected] if you are interested in any of these. Also see the contacts tab.

You can sign up to volunteer at specific meets by going to the Calendar Of Events and contacting the meet organizer.
